Recycled Battery Technology
Battery production is an essential part of the transition to renewable energy but currently involves incredibly damaging lithium mining. Lithium mining involves both significant water waste and damaging levels of carbon emissions. Treharne Automotive Engineering are working on a recycling solution to minimise lithium waste and mining demand. However, the lack of investment in battery technology is slowing the expansion of battery recycling facilities. Treharne are calling for recognition of the damages of lithium mining and significant investment in battery recycling in order to prevent further lithium waste.
